Is a signature added this way legally binding?▼

In many jurisdictions (for example under the U.S. ESIGN Act or the EU's eIDAS "simple electronic signature" tier), a drawn or typed signature image is widely accepted for everyday agreements like leases, freelance contracts, and consent forms. It is not a certificate-based qualified e-signature with a cryptographic audit trail, which services like DocuSign provide and which some regulated or high-stakes contexts require. Is my document uploaded anywhere when I sign it?▼
No. The PDF is opened, previewed, signed, and saved entirely by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Neither the document nor your signature image is ever sent to our servers — you can verify this yourself in your browser's network tools. That matters, because the documents people sign are usually their most sensitive ones.
